How to choose photoelectric sensors

There are many different types of photoelectric sensors, but in reality, there are only four basic technologies: counter reflection, reflector plate, diffuse reflection, and background suppression.
1、 Opposing photoelectric sensor
Advantages:
Suitable for accuracy among the four types of photoelectric sensors
The sensing range of the four types of photoelectric sensors is suitable for long
Very high reliability
Disadvantages:
Must be installed at two locations in the application system: transmitter and receiver
High cost: must purchase both transmitter and receiver simultaneously
2、 Reflective plate photoelectric sensor
Advantages:
Cost lower than opposed photoelectric sensors
The accuracy is only lower than that of direct injection
Sensing range greater than diffuse reflection
High reliability
Disadvantages:
Must be installed at two locations in the application system: transmitter and reflector board
The cost is slightly higher than diffuse reflection
The induction range is smaller than the direct type
3、 Diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor
Advantages:
Only installed on one side of the application
Cost lower than opposed and reflective panels
Disadvantages:
It's not as accurate as the projection or reflection plate type
More setup time may be required
4、 Background suppression type photoelectric sensor
Advantages:
Can be effective in reflective backgrounds
Disadvantages:
The cost is higher than that of diffuse reflection, reflective plate or counter reflection
Suitable for long debugging setup time
